Remembering you

We all have had a person come into our lives and touch us is many special ways. Someone who we will never forget. The way they made an impression on us was beautiful. This poem is about them and I hope you remember them while you read it. I hope it brings you peace and comfort. :-)

A Moment In TIme

I only knew you for a moment in time

but your life touched me

in so many special ways

the way you showed you cared

those times you stop to share

I looked and you were there

no self concerning airer

your honesty and integrity

your cheerfulness within sacrifice

your gentleness and your faithfulness

that forthright way you spoke

the wisdom that you held

understanding you had

with selfless loving-kindness

you gave away your time

you came across solid as a rock

your mind like an adamant flint

and you stood your ground stayed the course

you ran the race got the prize

and I know this much I can rest assured

I will hear you

I will see you

I will hold you

all again someday

suddenly you were gone

I knew your time had come

you had to move along

and now I sing this song

I'll never forget you

memories will not fade away

I'm so glad that I knew you

you helped me all along the way

you gave away your time

gave me all your life
